Ulla von Brandenburg

FRAC Picardie has selected Ulla von Brandenburg for its annual associate artist project. This collaboration is envisaged as a living laboratory of creations and experiments, in discussion with several partners in the Amiens region.

Von Brandenburg's work plays on space, by staging the various media she uses in her exhibitions (installations, films, watercolours, performances, etc.). The Frac Picardie is offering visitors the opportunity to discover the whole range of von Brandenburg's artistic forms. Not limited to the exhibition format alone, these encounters will take place with in situ installations, evening screenings and debates, master classes and publications.

Currently Ulla von Brandenburg is showing at Le Safran her paper work within an installation – an immersive spatial experience in which pictorial and textile colors will interact. At Maison de la Culture d'Amiens Ulla von Brandenburg will present the installation of a small and a large stage as well as film screenings. These different colourful thresholds will reveal worlds visible from the outside and others visible from the inside.
