Overview
Rirkrit Tiravanija curates the 2024 edition of the Korean biennial, ArtSpectrum 2024, titled Dream Screen. Featuring work by Vivien Zhang, Dream Screen takes as its starting point the fact that the post-millennial generation has developed a different sense of the physical world than before as they embody experiences through the medium of ‘screen’ such as the internet, games, and movies.
‘Art Spectrum’, which has served as a platform in support of emerging Korean artists, is making a transition in line with the rapidly changing contemporary art scene. This iteration of Art Spectrum expands beyond the previous award system, and widens the scope of participants to other parts of Asia, bringing together 26 artists/teams from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds.
