Ulla von Brandenburg awarded the Kubus Sparda Art Prize 2022
Pilar Corrias is excited to announce that Ulla von Brandenburg has been awarded the Kubus Sparda Art Prize 2022.
This year’s prize honours an outstanding contribution to the field of contemporary sculpture. On Ulla’s work, the jury commented: ‘Ulla von Brandenburg has realised a concept that renegotiates forms of remembrance and ritualistic events. Pictorial form and narrative, which the artist advances against the background of traditional sculptural approaches, form an effective and harmonious connection. Von Brandenburg reacts in a special way to the existing museum’s with a convincing site-specific dramaturgy and choreography.’
The presentation of works by Ulla and the other nominated artists continues at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart until 8 January 2023.
